Industrial automation group Inovance Technology and its partner Motion Tronic are bringing market-leading improved performance to South Africa through ultra-fast current loop technology with the launch of the SV660N servo solution for industrial automation applications.

The SV660N is a single-axis EtherCAT servo drive designed to deliver high dynamic performance in a compact footprint and achieves fundamental improvements in system performance through shorter settling times and higher throughput. The position control loop is coordinated with the synchronization signal to further improve the accuracy of multi-axis control.

Companies in South Africa can now contact Motion Tronic to purchase the SV660N, which uses a processor for high-speed EtherCAT communications, achieving 125 μs cycle times for all seven available EtherCAT CiA402 profile operating modes. This servo drive enables user-friendly installation through simple setup and adjustment, and provides an ultra-fast 4.5 kHz current loop with a speed loop bandwidth of up to 3 kHz, allowing the motor to follow motion curves with minimal error.

The SV660N also provides South African OEMs with peace of mind that it is functionally safe via SIL3 safe torque shutdown, short output winding for safe braking, and complies with CE and UL standards. It is designed to operate in harsh environments. The power supply voltage includes single-phase 220V, three-phase 220V, and three-phase 380V. It can also save multi-turn absolute value information when power is turned off to avoid the need for mechanical zero return every time the servo drive is started. It even has a comprehensive data storage function. to prevent malfunctions.

David Bedford Guaus, global strategic marketing manager of Inovance Technologies AC Drives, said: “We are delighted to launch the powerful and reliable SV660N in South Africa. The new generation of servo drives has an average footprint that is 30% smaller than the previous generation, providing a compact footprint. Higher power density. Working closely with our partner Motion Tronic, we have demonstrated the huge potential and high dynamic performance offered by the SV660N through our ultra-fast current loop technology.

Bradley Douglas, Director at Motion Tronic, added: “The 0.1 to 7.5 kW SV660N is a great addition to our Inovance product portfolio. We look forward to rolling it out to customers across South Africa and demonstrating how this market-leading, EtherCAT-enabled servo drive can meet their needs. demand and improve their productivity. Inovance Technologies has a wide range of industrial automation products and components required by OEMs, and its commitment to extensive research and development is reflected in the quality of the advanced solutions it launches.

Inovance Technology and Motion Tronic were both founded in 2003. support.
