Chrosziel expands CDM Zoom servo drive range


Chrosziel’s new FR7 zoom motor unit CDM-SFR integrates seamlessly into the operating functions of the Sony PTZ ILME-FR7 camera.

new Chrosziel FR7 Zoom Servo Driver is a compact, universal zoom motor that simply mounts to the 15mm pole of a Sony PTZ head and can be rotated to virtually any lens. The servo drive is controlled through the option port of Sony ILME-FR7. Motor control is handled via Sony camera-specific protocols, so it can be used seamlessly with the entire Sony FR7 ecosystem.

Thanks to the included Chrosziel Flexi ring (#206-30), the CDM-SFR can be used with almost any zoom lens, even without standard cine gearing. This opens up a whole new range of lenses to meet creative needs, from wide angle to long zoom operation.

UNIVERSAL ZOOM MOTOR: The CDM-SFR is a compact, universal zoom motor that simply mounts to a 15mm rod and can be rotated to virtually any lens.

Control via Sony ILME-FR7: The Sony ILME-FR7 basic unit directly controls the servo drive unit. No matter what remote panel or network access you use to control the Sony ILME-FR7, the zoom motor will receive its signal directly from the FR7’s base.

The CDM-SFR inherits all cables, clips, distribution boxes and plugs and is ready for use with the Sony ILME-FR7 right out of the box. No additional power supply is required.
