Servo drives, motors and more for AGV and AMR applications

Recently, Applied Motion Products (AMP) announced the launch of a new range of 48 VDC brushless DC servo motors, fully supported by Mclennan, equipped with durable 16-bit magnetic encoders and compatible high-current single/dual axis drives. Specifically for AGV and AMR applications. Also coming soon are higher power single and dual/multi-axis drives, integrated motors/drives, AGV motion control, custom wheel and hub drive components, and mounting and suspension mechanisms.

The new MBDV servo drive range complies with CANopen, Modbus and CiA301/CiA402 standards (a must-have feature for the AGV industry) and is complemented by 20A continuous current/60A peak performance ratings, digital IO and optional braking and regeneration control, as well as including E -Safety features included. The new SM series brushless DC servo motors are available in 400 W and 750 W models, providing energy-saving use in battery-powered vehicles, with optional electromagnetic brakes and an IP65 protection rating. In particular, the highly durable magnetic encoder is particularly suitable for AGV applications; a 1000-line optical encoder is also available. Debugging these components is easy thanks to AMP’s Luna configuration and programming software, which includes auto-tuning capabilities for high-precision PID loop control, as well as tools for monitoring up to four channels, including oscilloscope functionality, editable Parameter table, etc.

As the exclusive distribution partner of leading US moving parts manufacturer AMP, Mclennan provides comprehensive application support from initial project development to series supply.
